FileOnQ, in partnership with the International Association for Property and Evidence (IAPE), will be hosting a FREE live webinar, "Biological Evidence Best Practices". This webinar will focus on topics from the NIST handbook "The Biological Evidence Preservation: Best Practice for Evidence Handlers". Topics will include collection, examination, tracking, packaging, storing, and disposition of biological evidence.

In today's climate, knowledge is more important than ever! Take action to avoid potential public embarrassment, termination, criminal action, and tragic consequences.

Class description:

This training is for anyone who may encounter biological evidence, such as:

  • crime scene technicians
  • law enforcement officers
  • healthcare professionals
  • forensic scientists and managers
  • evidence supervisors
  • storage facility personnel
  • attorneys
  • expert witnesses
  • court staff

While many of the recommendations in the handbook focus on physically storing, preserving, and tracking evidence, the handbook also addresses procedures for transferring biological items to various locations and specific handling guidelines.
